What do you do when God asks for the unthinkable? In this first message of our series on the book of Hosea, we encounter a God who commands His prophet to marry an unfaithful woman as a living metaphor for His relationship with us. We explore the painful reality of "syncretism"—the way we mix our devotion to God with the idols of our modern world—and the consequences of a divided heart.

Through the lives and names of Hosea's children, we see a sobering picture of judgment, yet one that is ultimately eclipsed by a promise of radical hope. This message is a call to move from being "Not My People" to becoming "Children of the Living God" through the new covenant found in Jesus Christ.

"In the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' it shall be said to them, 'Children of the living God.'" -Hosea 1:10
